Join Silver Springs PTA!
Two ways to join:

Visit the PTA member store (called Givebacks) and join online. It's the quickest & easiest way to join!

If you prefer to pay by check or cash, please place payment + form in an envelope marked "PTA." Then, send it in to your child's teacher or the school office.
All are welcome, and there's no pressure to commit to things!

Who can join the Silver Springs PTA?

Any adult in our school community can join the PTA! We welcome parents, guardians, grandparents, and Silver Springs staff.

How much is it to join?

$15 for an individual membership (one member with voting privileges).

$30 for a family membership (two members with voting privileges).

$10 for a Silver Springs staff member.

Do I need to join again each year?
-
Yes. Memberships are valid for one school year (e.g., September 2023-June 2024).

Do I have to attend meetings?
-
No. There are zero requirements. Attend as many or as few meetings as you like.

Who can vote at meetings?

Only members are allowed to vote.

Do I have to volunteer?

No. You are not obligated to volunteer. You can participate as much as you want.

Does the PTA need volunteers?
-
YES! PTA needs many volunteers to keep our great programs running!

Do I have to fundraise?
-
No. The Silver Springs PTA chooses not to do “a-thons” or sales-based fundraisers. We won’t ask you to sell candy, popcorn, wrapping paper, or hit up your neighbors for money.

How do you raise money?
-
Our primary fundraiser is Invest In Your Child. We ask all Silver Springs families to donate at the beginning of the year and 100% of these donations directly benefit our students & staff.

Other fundraisers include restaurant nights and birthday lunches.

Volunteers Needed!
The PTA needs YOU to keep things running!

There are nearly 50 PTA volunteer jobs and committee needs: big ones, small ones, daytime jobs, on-your-own-terms jobs, and so much more.

Volunteers working in the school building or with students, must complete an iChat form for the 2023-2024 year and submit to the school office.

Committee chairs must be members of the PTA. Join here!

Chairpersons: please help with “Pay It Forward Planning!” Please log any helpful planning details in a PTA planning document, so we can pass it along to next year’s volunteers. It saves everyone time and effort when we don’t have to reinvent every year!

Other ways to help out...
You're busy, we get it! Not everyone has time to chair a committee!
One of the easiest ways to help out is to donate things when PTA needs supplies, food, or other stuff for events. Stay tuned - we'll be asking for candy for Trunk or Treat, cookies for staff in December, and gift cards for staff during Teacher Appreciation Week. Thanks in advance!
