Birthday Lunches
The Birthday Lunch program is a fun way to celebrate your child’s special day and the funds raised from this program directly benefit PTA programs. Win-Win!
On your child’s day, you can come and join them for lunch! Some parents choose to bring a special lunch or a treat. You get to sit at the Birthday Lunch table near the MPR, which will be decorated with a festive tablecloth and birthday napkins.
The easiest way to sign up and donate is online. Or, look for the flyer that will come home with your student the first week of school.
Please sign up for this program at least one month prior to your desired date. Book now to get your spot, even if your requested date is later in the year. The schedule fills up fast! Last year, we had 140 birthday lunches over the year!
Also, if you need to cancel due to illness, etc., please notify Kate Rundell at silverspringspta@gmail.com. Our volunteers arrange their schedule to be there and it’s very frustrating to have a no-show.

Silver Springs Student Directory
This awesome little book, produced by the PTA, helps to forge friendships and make connections outside of school.
The directory comes in two formats:
1. A print edition – Every Silver Springs household will receive one FREE copy. You do not have to be a PTA member – all families will get one! The print copy of the directory will be sent home with your student during the week of December 18, 2023 (if you have more than one student, your oldest child will receive the directory to bring home).
2. An electronic edition – READY NOW FOR PTA MEMBERS!!!! The e-version is in a searchable PDF format and posted on the password-protected PTA member portal (Givebacks/Memberhub). If you're not a PTA member, join today!
The Schoolwide Directory is for personal communication only between Silver Springs families. The contact information MAY NOT be used for any commercial, solicitation, or sales purposes.
The directory will include the contact information families already have on file in the MiStar / Parent Connection portal, unless a family choses to opt out. The opportunity to opt out was provided for three weeks from October 16 - November 3, 2023. Opt out information was publicized via a paper flyer (sent home in Monday envelopes on 10/16/23), the Eagle Express, and multiple emails via school listserv.

CALLING ALL 5th GRADE PARENTS:
SEND IN A BABY PHOTO OF YOUR 5th GRADER!
Share a baby photo of your 5th grader to be included in the 2024 Yearbook.
Photos must be sent electronically and you can upload straight from your phone or computer here. Access code: eagles. Choose “5th grade babies” from the drop down menu. Fill in your student’s full name.
